When we got a last minute call just a few weeks before their wedding we couldn’t wait to be part of this awesome couple’s wedding. Demi is an amazing wedding planner herself (at Coco Confetti) so we knew this one would be great! She and Ioannis were getting married in early January, surrounded by friends and family in a wedding FULL of charming Greek tradition, but with some great modern details. We loved spending the morning with both of their families, preparing their Stolisma (an intimate blessing from everyone they love before leaving for their ceremony).
Starting with a ceremony in the striking Greek Orthodox Church in Camden, followed by congratulations from all the friends and family who came to celebrate and finally, on to the Fable to throw down some shapes on the dance floor. Despite losing the groom’s parents for a an hour or so (they turned up safely in the end) all the guests had an amazing time. The Fable is such a stylish central London city venue with tonnes of space (and some pretty rad cocktails).
After some mixing, some mingling and a tasty dinner the guests made their way up to the third floor where The 80s Babies were ready to get everyone on the dance floor (and they ROCKED IT!). With the DJ mixing in some Greek tunes later on to get everyone spinning in circles it made for quite a kickin’ party!
Our favourite moment of the night was definitely when Demi + Ioannis took to the floor to bust out the moves to ‘Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)’. Just a great wedding moment to capture!
From intimate, family focused to a rockin’ party, Demi + Ioannis’ wedding was an absolute blast!
